This dictionary contains 643 terms in six chapters: "Movements", "Techniques", "Common Sayings", "Forms", "Rules" and "Proverbs". The content includes Chinese term and pinyin, English term, definition, explanation and diagram. According to the Chinese Weiqi Association, the compilation of the dictionary started in 2013 and it took seven years to complete. It was test-used at the World Weiqi Summit in Rizhao, China, in 2019 and was well received. This dictionary is the first of its kind to be published at the state level in China (People's Publishing House) and is expected to serve as a tool and bridge to promote Weiqi culture abroad.
