The Speed Baduk series is primarily intended as training material for Go lessons and is as popular in its original version among Go beginners in Korea as it is appreciated by Go teachers. All volumes are simply written and contain a wealth of problems and quizzes, with the help of which the learner should playfully become familiar with the tactical and strategic basics of the game of Go (Koranic: Baduk). The answerbook for each of the three Speed Baduk volumes, which can also be purchased, makes it possible to use the Speed Baduk series for self-study. Three volumes each, including the solution book, can be purchased at a discounted package price.
Volume 1: In the first part of the book, the basic game principles - liberties, catching, escaping, connecting, disconnecting, blocking, territory and suicide - are taught. Then, in the second part, general principles and techniques such as lack of freedom, mousetrap, stairs, geta (net), ko, race to the death, good form and endgame are also introduced to the reader.
Volumes 2 and 3: In both volumes, the principles and techniques known from the second part of the first volume are deepened at a more demanding level. In addition, there are concluding test chapters in both volumes in which the student's own learning success can be checked.
